Nahshoni, ‘The Budgetary Cuts in National Service were Canceled’, YNET, May 22, 2008, (accessed December 11, 2008). However, shortly afterwards alternative budgetary sources were found, and eventually the positions were not cancelled. The budgetary issue is serious, for example, in May 2008, about half of the volunteering positions of the national service were cancelled due to budgetary and political disputes.
